The Addison County Job Coalition (ACJC) was created to enhance the relationship between employers, job developers and the participants in supportive employment programs.
Supportive employment assists people with physical, emotional and developmental disabilities and individuals with barriers to employment by providing a variety of services including job readiness skills and job placement to job coaching and on-site training.
The intention of the coalition is to act as a staffing resource for local employers. The coalition can assist with staffing needs by working with employers to identify the best employment match, providing support during the training period, and providing, when appropriate, ongoing employment supports and incentives during the trial period. In addition the coalition aims to reduce confusion for the employer by creating a single point of contact and eliminating various solicitations by job developers.
