The Business Leadership Network, a new initiative, is led by Vermont employers, to stimulate best practices that encourage employers to attract, hire, retain, and promote qualified individuals who have disabilities. The program relies on a fundamental principle: success breeds success. When employers talk about the benefits of hiring people with disabilities, other employers are educated, enlightened and inspired to do the same.

Employers from around the State participate in a steering committee whose goal is to recruit other businesses to become members of the Vermont Business Leadership Network. The companies include both large and small employers from around Vermont representing health care, manufacturers, telecommunications, financial services, hospitality and many other types of businesses. TD Banknorth is the lead company for the BLN.
