Over the past month, our Rutland HireAbility and VABIR team has been painting rocks and last week they walked together at lunch to place them throughout downtown Rutland. These small, colorful surprises are meant to spread a little joy and brighten someone’s day when they’re found.
Activities like this may seem simple, but they play a powerful role in building connection and community. Taking time to create something together strengthens relationships, encourages teamwork, and gives everyone a shared sense of purpose. Placing the rocks around town extends that connection beyond the office, creating moments of unexpected delight for others and reminding us all that we’re part of something bigger.
As the weather gets warmer, the Rutland team hopes this inspires other offices to step outside, spend time together, and find creative ways to connect with each other and with their community!
